Streetcleaner - Spotlight

Sorry for the lack of updates. As we get further into the holiday season, things are gonna probably be a bit slow, but I will try to continue providing quality news, reviews, videos, etc for the hardcore community world wide.

In the meantime, here's a video of Austin ragers, Streetcleaner, playing the song "Spotlight" off their Mother Curse EP.

If you have never heard them, watch the video. You can also hear two other tracks off the EP on their MySpace page.

They will be performing at this year's This Is For You Fest in Florida, so if you're going to be in attendance, be sure to catch Streetcleaner's set.

Burning Fight - SOLD OUT!

According to show promoter, Jim Grimes, the Burning Fight showcase happening May 2nd and 3rd, 2009 in Chicago, Il in commemoration of the book by the same name's release is already sold out. He issued the following statement:
"I just wanted to drop a quick line to let everyone know the show has sold out. Do not bother trying to go on the Indie Tickets site because they have locked it out now.
It is pretty amazing that the show sold out in about 18 hours and I want to thank everyone that made this happen. It will be a show that no one will forget.

I will be releasing more info soon and the website is up and running. Our goal is to have this updated weekly or bi-weekly depending on what new information needs to be posted.

I want to state unless you heard it from me than 99% of things people say about this band or that band playing is not true.
Most people like to think they are in the know but really have no clue.

Check the website for updates because we have a couple of more things that are in the works.

Jim"

To those who managed to get your tickets last night or this morning, I'll see you at the show!

Warriors Will Reign

Chicago Straight Edge hardcore band, Harm's Way, have posted a new, beast of a song, Warriors Will Reign, off of their upcoming LP, Reality Approaches. The new record, which features 11 songs of brutal, unrelenting hardcore, is scheduled to be released in time for their tour with fellow Chicago band, Convicted, in late December/early January. The tour will take them south, through Cali and Nevada, and then back up to Illinois. You can see a tentative list of dates on Convicted's MySpace profile. When asked about the outcome of the LP, Harm's Way vocalist, James, stated that they were very happy with how it turned out.

Also, for those who plan to attend the Burning Fight Showcase next May, Harm's Way will be performing on the first night. James went on to say that he was excited to be a part of the events and is stoked to be seeing Unbroken. That's going to be one great weekend.

Be sure to check them out on tour and pick up the new LP when it drops.

Quantum of Solace

I know some people are going to disagree with me on this, but the best film of the year has yet to come out. Being released in US theaters on November 14th, the 22nd Bond film [EON Productions] to date, Quantum of Solace looks to be an explosive ride. Featuring the current face of James Bond, Daniel Craig, and directed by Marc Forster, QoS is the follow-up to 2006's Casino Royale and finds 007 doing battle with Dominic Greene [Mathieu Amalric], a member of the Quantum organization posing as an environmentalist, who intends to stage a coup d'état in Bolivia to take control of its water supply. In his efforts, Bond is assisted by the beautiful Camille [Olga Kurylenko] who takes the place of Vesper Lynd for whom James seeks revenge.

Based solely on his performance in Casino Royale, I would rank Daniel Craig as one of my all-time favorite Bonds, and I was very excited when I read that Craig has been signed on for Bond 23, 24, and 25. Bond 23 has been tentatively scheduled for release in 2010.
