Enuf's 1988 Demo

After reading the first part to an interview with Ajay, singer of the short lived New Jersey hardcore band, Enuf, on Double Cross, I spent the following week scouring the net for mp3s of their '88 Demo. Finally, I found someone on SLSK who had it available in their files, and so, I bring it you.

Enuf - 1988 Demo

This shit is mad stance. I was surprised with Ajay's tone and overall vocal execution in the best way possible. Dude went off on this recording. With the first couple of listens, I tried transcribing some of the lyrics, but there's still some lines that I can't make out. I sorta caught one (I think, haha) that I really dug in the second track, Face the Music:

"The Edge was never part of your life, when you had said it was!"*

I'm probably hearing it wrong, but I'd like to think it's something along those lines. hah. I really wanna get my hands on the full set of lyrics to this demo. Musically, these recordings are raw but mad jams, nonetheless. This shit seems to have definitely been overlooked over the years. Respect where it's due.

*Editor's Note:
Thanks to Tim and Gordo at DCXX for posting up scans of the demo insert with these lyrics. I finally got to correct 'em here. I wasn't too far off. hah!
